The interpreter program is handled by the Superior Court Interpreter Coordinator.

Title 2.43 and 2.42 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), authorizes the appointment of language interpreters to assist non-English speaking persons and hearing impaired individuals in legal proceedings. The statute is intended to protect the constitutional rights of non-English speaking persons and people with hearing impairment.

Individuals requiring interpreter services may contact the Court Administrator's office (509) 427-3765 or email at bell@co.skamania.wa.us or by filling out the Interpreter Request Form . Attorneys are responsible for contacting the Court Administrator to request an interpreter for court.
