 PITCHING/THROWING:

For kids who would like to practice throwing and pitching, we have an open gym format.  We have the space available.  Parents and coaches are encouraged to participate.  Staff will be focused on hitting and will not supervise.

COACHES:

Coaches are allowed to be a part of the program free of charge, but will need to supply a background check through Washington State Patrol (fortress.wa.gove/wsp/watch), completed paperwork supplied by Community Events and Recreation, and meet with staff to go over machinery and rules.
Evening times outside of the regular program hours can be secured for specialized practices.  For more details please contact Community Events and Recreation.

OTHER PROGRAMMING:

Depending on the success of this program, Skamania County may host a few skills workshops outside of the regular scheduled times.  Any event will be marketed separately and may have additional costs.

USEFUL INFORMATION: (PLEASE READ!)

  • All programming will be done in the Stock Barn at the Skamania County Fairgrounds.  The barn does NOT have established heating but will have heating units inside.  A coat and warm clothing are recommended.
  • Community Events will provide a small number of bats and helmets.  Personal helmets and bats can be used if they are in sound shape and follow the guidelines of Little League Baseball. Equipment will be inspected for safety. Contact CE&R for any questions.
