Selling Food at Events?

I am a licensed restaurant; can I sell food at public event?

I plan on sell/serv food at more than one event this year. What license do I need?

Can I sell or serve foods I make in my home?

No, unless you have obtained a state approved Cottage Food Permit https://agr.wa.gov/cottagefood.
Non-profit Organizations may make non-potentially hazardous baked goods in a residential kitchen (such as brownies, cookies and fruit pies) prepared and wrapped in a sanitary manner by a non-profit organization operating for religious, charitable, or educational purposes. A sign, clearly visible to customers, stating that ‘These items are prepared in a kitchen that is not inspected by Skamania County is required.

What foods are exempt from a license fee?

Cotton Candy
Dried herbs and spices
If processed in an approved facility.

Machine crushed iced drinks
If made with non-potentially hazardous ingredients and the ice is from an approved source.

Corn on the con
If prepared for immediate service.

Whole roasted peppers
If roasted for immediate service.

Sliced Fruits and vegetable SAMPLES
If used for individual samples of non-potentially hazardous
