Associated Illnesses
There have been three reports of STEC infections caused byE. coli O103 in Washington (2) and Oregon (1). Illnesses occurred between September 5 and September 16, 2025.

Additional Information
The recall was initiated after Twin Sisters Creamery was notified that the Farmhouse cheese sample analyzed by a third-party lab confirmed presence ofE. coli O103andE. ColiSTEC was detected in Whatcom Blue samples analyzed by WSDA and FDA.

Federal and state laws allow raw (unpasteurized) milk cheese to be sold if aged for at least 60 days, but aging does not eliminate the potential risk of harmful bacteria.
Consumer Guidance
Consumers are encouraged to check their refrigerators for recalled product. Recalled products should be discarded and not be eaten. Clean and sanitize surfaces they touched. Consumers concerned about an illness should contact a medical professional.
