Mechanic I

Skamania County Public Works is seeking a Mechanic I.  

SUMMARY
Performs skilled preventative and restorative maintenance of the County's fleet and shop equipment, including inspecting, diagnosing, overhauling, repairing and maintaining gasoline, diesel, and mechanical equipment and machinery such as backhoes, graders, automobiles, dump trucks, pumps (including water, hydraulic, and air pumps), generators, and air compressors. Responsibilities may include some arc and gas welding and fabricating of parts. Performs repairs in the field as required. Performs duties associated with the repair and maintenance of County roads as required.
