RESOLUTION 2002 - 56
(Amending Resolution 1990-52 Re-Placing the Skamania County Substance Abuse Prevention Council with Skamania County Community Mobilization Council)
WHEREAS, Skamania County considers prevention of drug and alcohol abuse an important goal in the community; and
WHEREAS, various programs in the community presently offer a variety of drug and alcohol abuse prevention services; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners supports the idea of a coordinated approach to drug and alcohol abuse prevention and assistance in recommending various prevention activities;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution 1990-52 be amended as follows:
That the Skamania County Board of Commissioners rename the Skamania County Substance Abuse Prevention Council advisory board as the "Skamania County Community Mobilization Advisory Council (Council)";
That the Council shall consist of eleven (11)-(25) members, appointed by the Skamania County Board of Commissioners for 3 year terms, except that the initial appointments may be for shorter terms to stagger the expiration dates of the terms with the exception of County Commissioner and Youth positions they will be 1 year terms;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the following persons are appointed to positions on the Council with the term expiration date for each position as noted:
