SKAMANIA COUNTY, WASHINGTON

RESOLUTION NO. 2002-45

A RESOLUTION relating to Condit Dam; adopting a policy statement between Skamania County and Klickitat County; directing communication with State congressional delegation.

Be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Skamania County, Washington, as follows:

Section 1. Findings and Recitals.

1.1 Skamania and Klickitat Counties (the “Counties”) are parties to Federal Energy and Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) proceedings regarding the re-licensing of PacifiCorp’s Condit Dam in the State of Washington.

1.2 The Counties have determined that further public statements are necessary in order to assure that federal, state and local agencies are aware of the position of the Counties regarding Condit Dam. The Counties deem it necessary and appropriate to adopt a joint policy statement, as reflected herein.

Section 2. Policy Statement Adopted.

The attached policy statement regarding Condit Dam, attached hereto and incorporated by this reference, is hereby adopted, ratified and confirmed.

ADOPTED by the Skamania County Board of County Commissioners this 8th day of August, 2002, at a regular, open public meeting.
