RESOLUTION 2001-73

 

(Establishing Legal Holidays for 2002)

 

 

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to RCW 1.16.050, the following days are constituted and shall be observed as legal holidays for the calendar year 2002 in observance of the event, individual, or official noted:

 

 

          Tuesday                   January 1, 2002                  New Year’s Day (2002)

          Monday                   January 21                          Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

          Monday                   February 18                        President’s Day

          Monday                   May 27                                         Memorial Day

          Thursday                 July 4                                 Independence Day

          Monday                   September 2                       Labor Day

          Monday                   November 11                      Veteran’s Day

          Thursday                 November 28                      Thanksgiving Day

          Friday                      November 29                      Day after Thanksgiving

          Wednesday               December 25                      Christmas Day

          Wednesday               January 1, 2003                  New Year’s Day (2003)

 

 

Note:  When a holiday falls on Saturday, the Friday before will be substituted.

          When the holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday will be substituted.
