RESOLUTION 2001- 23

(Amending a portion of Resolution 2000-26 Skamania County Vehicle Use and Maintenance Policy)

WHEREAS, Skamania County employees and officials had an opportunity to discuss and comment on the potential changes to the Vehicle Use and Maintenance Policy and make comments and these comments were reviewed in public session on March 22, 2001;

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners believes it is in the best interest of Skamania County to amend Resolution 2000-26 Section 3.D.2. regarding Vehicle Use Policy and Maintenance standards to help ensure effective, efficient and safe use of vehicles used to conduct Skamania County business; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners by this resolution hereby amends Resolution 2000-26 Section 3.D. 2. of the Vehicle Use and Maintenance Policy for Skamania County as set forth below;

Section 3.D. 2. Employees with approved 24-hour per day vehicle assignments may park the vehicle at their residence within Skamania County or other non-residential site approved by the employee’s Department Head or Elected Official; provided the employee can respond within 30 minutes to the employee’s work site designated by the employee’s Department Head or Elected Official.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that, except as herein modified, Resolution 2000-26 and Skamania County Vehicle Use Policy approved by the Board of Commissioners are hereby affirmed in its entirety.
