A joint resolution of the Boards of County Commissioners for Clark, Klickitat and Skamania counties relating to the appointment of trustees to the Fort Vancouver Regional Library.

WHEREAS, in 1952 Clark County and Skamania County formed an Interrural Rural Library District; and

WHEREAS, in 1973, the Intercounty Rural Library District was expanded to include Klickitat County ; and

WHEREAS, in 1981, the City of Vancouver annexed into the Intercounty Rural Library District; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 27.12.130 and 27.12.190, the Boards of County Commissioners of the participating counties have entered into an Interlocal Agreement setting forth the process for the appointment of trustees; and

WHEREAS, the position held by Dale Read, Jr. representing Clark County expired effective December 31, 2000; and

WHEREAS, the County desires to change the number of publications of the notice of the existence roster and solicitation of names of contractors that may provide work or services from two to one; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Morgan has confirmed her acceptance of appointment to Position No. 7 as Clark County’s designee for a seven year term; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of County Commissioners of Clark, Klickitat and Skamania counties to appoint Shirley Morgan to Position No. 7 representing Clark County for a seven year term terminating December 31, 2007.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED by the Boards of County Commissioners of Clark, Klickitat and Skamania Counties, State of Washington, hereby that Shirley Morgan is hereby appointed to serve as trustee of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library as Clark County’s designee for a seven year term expiring December 31, 2007.
