Business Small Quantity Generator And FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event

Skamania County Public Works  sponsors a Small Quantity Generator Hazardous Waste collection event and a FREE Household Hazardous Waste collection event for residents each year. The next collection event will be held at the Stevenson Transfer Station in Stevenson on Saturday July 21st 2012.

• The FREE Household Hazardous Waste collection event will operate from 10:00am to 2:00pm sharp.

The Business Small Quantity Generator collection event will operate from 8:30am to 9:30am and is by appointment only. For further information, appointment time –or disposal pricing, please call Allan Ranf with Clean Harbors environmental services at (503) 305-2158.

At these Small Quantity Generator and Household Hazardous Waste collection events, county businesses and residents will be able to drop off all hazardous wastes that are NOT explosive, Radioactive, or biological.

Examples of Household Hazardous Wastes that WILL be accepted include:

Paints, Solvents, Gasoline, Flammable Liquids, Poisons, Corrosives, Herbicides, Insecticides,

Pool Chemicals, Aerosols, household cleaners, Batteries, Antifreeze and Oil.
