SKAMANIA COUNTY IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYEE

HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST
Salary:  $3,641 - $4,342 with benefits depending on qualifications

Skamania County is seeking qualified applicants to provide Human Resource Specialist complex and technical administrative and clerical human resource duties for the related to the efficient operation of the department often in a confidential nature.   Looking for someone that works with minimal direction and supervision to assist with the duties of the office and relive the Human Resource Administrator of routine and non-routine work and specialized complex and technical tasks assigned.  Must be competent in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel and have a strong aptitude in learning new computer systems.  Willingness to travel to meetings and trainings when necessary.  Prefer experience with processing insurance enrollment, and Human Resource and labor law.

Education and Experience Requires Associates of Art Degree with major course work in business, law, personnel, or closely related field and five years of related human resource experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to due the work.

COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER
Salary:  $3,197 - $3,813 with benefits depending on qualifications

Skamania County is seeking 2 qualified applicants to provide duties related to the Behavioral Health services in both a community health department and community setting  Activities may focus on the individual and/or community-based health issue and emphasizes resilience and recovery.   Looking for someone that works with minimal direction and supervision to assist with the duties of the office of routine and non-routine work and specialized complex and technical tasks assigned.  Must be competent in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel and have a strong aptitude in learning new computer systems.  Willingness to travel to meetings and trainings when necessary. 

Education and Experience

High School diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred.

Minimum of two years’ experience in health and or social services.

Sufficient fluency in English required to participate in team meetings in English and document patient encounters in English in the electronic medical record.

PUBLIC WORKS ASSISTANT  COUNTY ENGINEER
Salary:  $5,906 - $6,449 depending on qualifications

Skamania County is seeking qualified applicants to provide professional level engineering and administrative work for the Road Division of the Skamania County Public Works Department including leadership and participation in engineering design and construction, right-of-way acquisition, and project management.  Application of professional engineering principles and techniques in the interpretation and enforcement of laws, regulations and County policies regarding road design and construction, right-of-way acquisition and project management.  Provides direction supervision of technical staff.  Reports to Public Works Director/County Engineer. 

Education and Experience Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited Engineering Program, pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam and a minimum of two (2) years engineering experience, including supervisory experience.

Washington Professional Civil Engineer License preferred or the ability to obtain within two (2) years.

SENIOR SERVICES ON CALL BUS DRIVER I

Salary $14.27 per hour

This is an on call intermittent Bus Driver 1 non CDL to provide transportation services for qualified residents of Skamania County through the Skamania County Senior Services Department programs.  Selected applicants will be placed on a list for on-call - as needed basis.

SKAMANIA COUNTY SENIOR SERVICES  ON-CALL BUS DRIVER II
Salary $14.58 per hour

This is an on-call intermittent position for a Buss Driver II that requires a Class B Commercial Driver's License.  The position provides transportation services for qualified residents of Skamania County through the Skamania County Senior Services Department.  Ability to work weekends is preferred.  Selected applicants will be placed on a list for on-call - as needed basis.
