Family Planning

Women and men regardless of age, sexual orientation, or ability to pay are welcome at our family planning clinic.  We offer confidential health care that includes yearly exams, health screening, education and birth control.   Pregnancy prevention and counseling along with sexual transmitted disease (STD) screening and testing including HIV is available.  Consultation, investigation and reporting of communicable disease is offered along with partner notification.

Skamania County Health Department accepts Take Charge, a federally funded program providing family planning services to men and women.  Eligibility requirements must be met, application assistance is available at the Health Department.

Skamania County is a participating provider in the Breast and Cervical Health Program.  This program will pay for exams, pap screening and mammograms for eligible women aged 40 -64.  To participate, women must meet state income criteria and have no health insurance coverage for women’s health screening services.
