PLANNING COMMISSIONThe Skamania County Planning Commission was formed in 1975 in order to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. The Planning Commission conducts hearings on ordinance amendments and comprehensive plans. Its decisions are considered recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners may approve, deny, or modify any Planning Commission recommendation. The Planning Commission consists of seven County residents. Each representative is an unpaid volunteer. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month, as need, at the Skamania County Courthouse Annex building on Vancouver Avenue in Stevenson. Meetings begin at 7:00pm. The Planning Commission consists of two representatives from each of the three Commissioner Districts in the County and one at-large representative. The Board of County Commissioners appoints the members for a four-year term. MEMBERS
