SCHOOL SAFETY

The School Safety Program works to provide a safe and healthy environment for children enrolled in private or public (K-12) schools through the following activities:

  • Conduct site approval, plan review, and pre-operational inspection of new or remodeled schools;
  • Condcut routine inspections of the school food service operations;
  • Investigate complaints;
  • Require annual food service license for all school cafeterias.

CAMP SAFETY

The Camp Safety Program works to reduce the risk of injury to youth at Summer Camps through the following activities:

  • Routine inspections of youth camp facilities;
  • Reviewing of plans for new youth camps;
  • Inspecting food service facilities at youth camps;
  • Investigating general and illness complaints.
