All bridges on private roads shall be designed and certified or inspected and certified by a licensed professional engineer, licensed and qualified to practice engineering in the state. Design shall provide for a minimum fifty thousand pound minimum gross vehicle weight using AASHTO vehicle type 3. The bridge shall be posted as to the safe weight limits and conditions as certified by the inspecting engineer. Periodic inspections shall be performed on all bridges. The period and type of inspection shall be stated in the maintenance agreement and plan. (Ord. 2000-07 (part); Ord. 1986-02 (part))
