Documents Requiring an Excise Form

Documents that convey property are required to be submitted with a completed Real Estate Excise Affidavit. This form may be obtained through the Skamania County Treasurer. After processing by the Treasurer’s office and the Assessor’s office, the documents are then forwarded to the Auditor's Office for recording. Questions regarding the requirement or completion of the Real Estate Excise Affidavit should be directed to the Skamania County Treasurer. Some common document titles that require an excise affidavit are deeds and bills of sale.
