(2007 Distribution of
WHEREAS, for Title I of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 Skamania County will receive from the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, $4,816,901.69 for FY 2007 federal forest yield on December 28, 2007 through the Washington State Treasurer and the County received $10,934,34 in interest; and
WHEREAS, for Title III of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 Skamania County will receive from the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, $680,033.18 for FY 2007 federal forest yield on December 28, 2007 through the Washington State Treasurer and the County received $1,157.76 in interest; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Government had not authorized or appropriated the funds at the time the Skamania County Budget was adopted so the County made an estimate based on the appropriation method used in previous years;and
WHEREAS, the actual Title I federal forest fund payment to Skamania County will be $32,891.90 less than anticipated in the Skamania County 2007 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the distribution of said Title I funds should be made in the manner set forth below that proportionally (99.3%) distributes the funds according to the 2007 Budget estimate; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Treasurer of Skamania County is directed to distribute $5,496,934.87 as follows:
