RESOLUTION 2007-23

(Authorizing Signature of Local Agency Agreement Supplement for reimbursement of Construction funds through the Rural County Two-Lane Roadway Program)

WHEREAS, Skamania County has applied for and has been selected by Washington State Department of Transportation to receive $500,000 from grant funding through the Rural Two-lane Roadway Pilot Program for Countywide Traffic Safety Improvements.

WHEREAS, The Skamania County Board of Commissioners has passed in regular session Resolution No. 2005-59 authorizing County Road Project No. 2005-03 for development and administration of the Rural County Two-Lane Roadway program and has entered into a Local Agency Agreement, No. LA-6002, with the Washington State Department of Transportation for reimbursement of $110,000 in preliminary engineering funds expended towards the Rural County Two-Lane Roadway program.

WHEREAS, the Skamania County Board of Commissioners believes it is in the best interest of the County to enter into this Local Agency Agreement Supplement with Washington State Department of Transportation for reimbursement of Construction funds through the Rural County Two-Lane Roadway Program.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Skamania County Board of Commissioners authorizes the signing of the Local Agency Agreement Supplement with Washington State Department of Transportation for reimbursement of a total of $500,000 to be expended towards the Rural County Two-Lane Roadway program (Local Force or Ad and Award - Financing Method C – Agency cost incurred with partial reimbursement).
