RESOLUTION NO. 2007-18

(Establishing a Revolving Fund for Senior Services Volunteer Drivers Mileage and other Authorized Travel Expenses)

WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of Commissioners that the Skamania County Senior Services Department currently makes payments to volunteer drivers as reimbursement for miles driven under the Transportation Program through the County’s vouchering process; and

WHEREAS, the volunteer drivers, who use their own vehicles to provide the transportation, need reimbursement more often than once a month via the Claim for Expense Reimbursement process through the County Auditor; and

WHEREAS, the development of a revolving fund bank account in the amount of $1,800 will allow the Senior Services Department to reimburse the volunteer drivers periodically during a month and then replenish the account through the County Vouchering process;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Skamania County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the Skamania County Senior Services Department to establish a $1,800 Revolving Fund Account for the purpose of paying mileage and other authorized travel expenses to Senior Services’ volunteer drivers periodically during the month.
