RESOLUTION 2007-17

 

(Amending portions of Resolution 2006-50 and 2000-19 affecting the annual salary increase for the Skamania County Prosecuting Attorney)

 

 

WHEREAS, Skamania County Board of Commissioners has the responsibility of setting salaries for the Board of Commissioners, Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, and Treasurer of Skamania County; and

 

WHEREAS, there was a clerical error on Resolution 2006-50; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board desires to repeal the portion of Resolution 2000-19 that refers to the Sheriff and the Prosecutor; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners hereby amends a portion of Resolution 2006-50 as follows:

 

2)         For determining the 2007 Salary of the Skamania County Prosecuting Attorney, an additional $135 180 per month shall be added to the 2006 salary of the Skamania County Prosecuting Attorney prior to applying the 2.5% adjustment for 2007.    The Prosecuting Attorney’s salary for 2007 shall be $6,997 7,043 per month, which is consistent with the 60th percentile for comparable counties. 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners hereby repeals a portion of Resolution 2000-19 as follows:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the monthly salary of the Prosecuting Attorney, who also serves as the Skamania County Corner shall be as follows

                                    2001                $4,175

                                                2002                $4,280

Provided that, if the prosecuting attorney continues his agreement with the Board of Commissioners to refrain from the practice of law, except as provided in RCW 36.27.060(3) and (4), during the term of office and meets all conditions of said contract; or if for any reason the incumbent leaves office during the term of office from January 1, 1999 through December 31, 2002, the new prosecuting attorney signs such agreement; the monthly salary of the Prosecuting Attorney shall be as follows:

 

 

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED except as herein modified, Resolution 1998-49, 2000-19, 2002-48 and 2006-50 are hereby reaffirmed.
