RESOLUTION 2006-51

(Authorizing payment by the County of expenses incurred by new

Elected Officials at WACO/WSAC New Officials Orientations)

WHEREAS, the Washington Association of County Officials (WACO) and Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) hold a New Officials Orientation in December of even years; and

WHEREAS, legislative issues of concern to counties will be discussed at said conference; and;

WHEREAS, Skamania County will have new Elected Officials at the time of the conference; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of Skamania County that new Elected Officials be informed about legislative issues affecting counties;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Skamania County Board of Commissioners authorizes the payment of registration expenses and travel expense for any Skamania County new Elected Official attending a WACO/WSAC New Officials Orientation.
