RESOLUTION 2006 -50
(Amending portions of Resolution 2002-48 affecting the annual salary increase for the
WHEREAS, Skamania County Board of Commissioners has the responsibility of setting salaries for the Board of Commissioners, Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, and Treasurer of Skamania County; and
WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed an analysis of compensation (salary and benefits) of Elected Officials from the nine comparable counties used for employee compensation; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to establish the compensation for Skamania County Elected Officials at the 60th percentile of comparable counties; and
WHEREAS, the analysis indicates that the compensation for the Skamania County Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, and Treasurer are currently at the 60th percentile of comparable counties; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners desires that the Commissioners receive the same compensation as the Assessor, Auditor, Clerk and Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, the
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners hereby amends Resolution 2002-48 as follows:
1) For determining the 2007 Salary of the Skamania County Sheriff, an additional $333 per month shall be added to the 2006 salary of the Skamania County Sheriff prior to applying the 2.5% adjustment for 2007. The Sheriff’s salary for 2007 shall be $5,380 per month, which is consistent with the 60th percentile for comparable counties.
2) For determining the 2007 Salary of the Skamania County Prosecuting Attorney, an additional $135 per month shall be added to the 2006 salary of the Skamania County Prosecuting Attorney prior to applying the 2.5% adjustment for 2007. The Prosecuting Attorney’s salary for 2007 shall be $6,997 per month, which is consistent with the 60th percentile for comparable counties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annual salary adjustment for the Auditor, Assessor, Commissioners, Clerk, and Treasurer remain at 2.5% for 2007 and subsequent years, unless further amended; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annual salary adjustment for the Prosecuting Attorney and Sheriff remain at 2.5% for 2008 and subsequent years, unless further amended; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED except as herein modified, Resolution 1998-49, 2000-19, 2002-48 are hereby reaffirmed.
