RESOLUTION 2006-45

(Rescinding Skamania County Personnel Policy, Resolution 1985-36 and all amendments and adopting a new Skamania County Personnel Policy)

WHEREAS, Resolution 1985-36 adopted a comprehensive personnel policy for Skamania County and amended it per Resolution 1986-19, by Board of Commissioners action on June 13, 1988, Resolution 1989-34, Resolution 1990-10, Resolution 1990-38, Resolution 1990-39, Resolution 1992-12, Resolution 1992-16, Resolution 1993-25, Resolution 1994-17, Resolution 1995-07, Resolution 1997-23 Resolution 1998-40 Resolution 1999-10, Resolution 1999-18, Resolution 2000-25, Resolution 2001-35, 2001-47, Resolution 2002-47, Resolution 2003-09, Resolution 2003-32, Resolution 2003-46, Resolution 2006-26 and Resolution 2006-33; and

WHEREAS, a Personnel Policy Review Committee consisting of Elected Officials and Department Heads was formed to review the Skamania County Personnel Policy and has recommended significant changes to the Skamania County Personnel Policy; and

WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed the recommendations of the Committee and believes that there are significant changes that warrant rescinding the current Skamania County Personnel Policy and all amendments and adopting a new Skamania County Personnel Policy.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution 1985-36 adopting a comprehensive personnel policy for Skamania County and subsequent amendments Resolution 1986-19, by Board of Commissioners action on June 13, 1988, Resolution 1989-34, Resolution 1990-10, Resolution 1990-38, Resolution 1990-39, Resolution 1992-12, Resolution 1992-16, Resolution 1993-25, Resolution 1994-17, Resolution 1995-07, Resolution 1997-23 Resolution 1998-40 Resolution 1999-10, Resolution 1999-18, Resolution 2000-25, Resolution 2001-35, 2001-47, Resolution 2002-47, Resolution 2003-09, Resolution 2003-32, Resolution 2003-46, Resolution 2006-26 and Resolution 2006-33 be rescinded; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a new Skamania County Comprehensive Personnel Policy, as outlined in Attachment A, is hereby adopted by the Board of Skamania County Commissioners.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that each of the undersigned being duly elected to public office in Skamania County hereby collectively agree rescind the current Skamania County Personnel Policy and all subsequent amendments as outlined above and agree to abide by the new Skamania County Comprehensive Personnel Policy as outlined in Attachment A which will be in effect during their term(s) of their office until and unless further action is taken regarding the same.
