RESOLUTION 2006-25

(Authorizing Signature of Local Agency Agreement for reimbursement of Preliminary Engineering funds through the SAFETEA-LU program)

WHEREAS, Skamania County has a balance of $935,982.11 in unobligated funds remaining in the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) program account maintained by WSDOT. Skamania County will initially enter into a Local Agency Agreement with Washington State Department of Transportation for reimbursement of $22,000 in preliminary engineering funds to be expended for the Hot Springs Avenue.

WHEREAS, the Skamania County Board of Commissioners believes it is in the best interest of the County to enter into this Local Agency Agreement with Washington State Department of Transportation.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Skamania County Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes County Road Project No. 2006-04 for preliminary design for the Hot Springs Avenue Improvement Project

AND BE IT ALSO HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Skamania County Board of Commissioners authorizes the signing of the Local Agency Agreement with Washington State Department of Transportation for reimbursement of preliminary engineering funds expended towards the Hot Springs Avenue Improvement Project (Local Force or Ad and Award - Financing Method C – Agency cost incurred with partial reimbursement).
