WHEREAS, Resolution 570-A adopted Road Maintenance Classification Guidelines for
WHEREAS, in the interest of maintaining all Skamania County roads equally, all roads have been scored by traffic counts, speed and types of use; this classification system will allow all county roads defined maintenance per each maintenance level classification.
WHEREAS, any road with-in this classification system that has an increase or decrease in maintenance requirements based on change of use, can easily be changed by amendment to this resolution as the guidelines are clear and concise to allow said change without a complete rewrite of the contents of the classification manual.
WHEREAS, all staff members and/or the general public can view a document that better defines all road maintenance levels.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has reviewed the recommendations of the Public Works and believes that Resolution 570-A should be replaced; and that Resolution 2006-11, Road Classifications and Maintenance Standards should be adopted; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Skamania County Department of Public Works Manual on Road Classifications and Maintenance Standards be the replacement to Resolution 570-A in its entirety.
