RESOLUTION 2006-04

 

                                   (Amending Skamania County Health and Safety Manual)

 

 

WHEREAS, the Washington Administrative Code sets out General Safety and Health Standards under Chapter 296 for governmental agencies to follow was adopted by Resolution 2003-17.

 

WHEREAS, the law requires that the county have policies to establish procedures for employees that work alone and for employees who provide maintenance and service on machinery, electrical devices or other equipment, which could create a hazards condition while performing maintenance, repair, cleanup or construction work.

 

WHEREAS, the Board finds that it is beneficial to Skamania County employees to establish these standards by policy.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners hereby adopts the attached policies and amends the Skamania County Health and Safety Manual to include those policies as written in “Attachment A Lockout Tagout” and “Attachment B Working Alone” to follow the General Safety and Health Standards under Washington Administrative Code.

WHEREAS, the undersigned, being duly elected to public office in Skamania County, hereby collectively agree to abide by the Skamania County Health and Safety Manual revisions when applicable referred to above in Resolution 2006-04:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that each of the undersigned adopt the Skamania County Health and Safety Manual revisions which will be in effect during their term(s) of their office until and unless further action is taken regarding the same.
