(Setting Current Expense and
WHEREAS, Skamania County Board of Commissioners has properly given notice of public hearings held
WHEREAS, Skamania County Board of Commissioners, after hearing and duly considering all relevant evidence and testimony presented, has determined that Skamania County requires an increase in property tax revenue from the previous year, in addition to the increase resulting from the addition of new construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state assessed property, in order to discharge the expected expenses and obligations of the Current Expense Fund and County Road Fund and in the best interest of Skamania County; and
WHEREAS, to meet the anticipated revenues from property taxes in the 2006 Skamania County Budget, adopted December ___, 2005, it is necessary to levy a 1% increase over the 2005 regular property taxes, plus the value of new construction and any increase in value of state assessed property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Skamania County Board of Commissioners that $1,388,812 was levied from the Current Expense levy in 2005 and that an increase in the regular property tax levy for 2006 to $1,402,700 be levied which is an increase of $13,888 and one percent (1%) over the amount levied for collection in 2005. Additionally, the increased amount resulting from the addition of new construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state assessed property shall be collected;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $1,108,725 was levied from the
PASSED IN REGULAR SESSION this ____ day of December 2005.

I _________________________ move to set the Current Expense regular property tax levy for 2006 at $1,402,700, which is an increase of $13,888 over the 2005 property tax levy and to set the County Road regular property tax levy for 2006 at $1,119,812, which is an increase of $11,087 over the 2005 property tax levy.
These proposed levies are one percent (1%) over the amount levied for collection in 2005. In addition to the levy amounts stated above, the increased amount resulting from the addition of new construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state assessed property shall be collected for both levies.
