RESOLUTION NO. 2005 - 23

(Amending Resolution No. 1995-20, Resolution No. 1996-22 and

Resolution No. 2002-46 relating to Skamania County's Credit Card Policy)

WHEREAS, the Skamania County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution 1995-20 to establish a credit card policy for Skamania County and amended said Resolution by Resolution Nos. 1996-22 and 2002-46; and

WHEREAS, within Resolution No. 1995-20 First Independent BANK was the authorized financial institution for issuance of VISA credit cards; and

WHEREAS, it has come to the County's attention that since First Independent Bank has assigned their VISA credit card accounts to ELAN FINANCIAL it has become difficult for Skamania County to make timely payments without incurring late fees; and

WHEREAS, Riverview Savings Bank carries VISA credit card accounts which payments may be made directly to their financial institution, now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED that the Skamania County Auditor is authorized to change the contracted VISA credit card financial institution from FIRST INDEPENDENT BANK to RIVERVIEW SAVINGS BANK effective July 1, 2005; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other requirements as listed within Resolution Nos. 1995-20; 1996-22 and 2002-46 remain in effect.
