RESOLUTION No. 2005-14

(Interfund Loan from Cumulative Reserve Loan Fund to Solid Waste Fund)

WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Fund (4010.000) borrowed $100,000 from the Cumulative Reserve Loan Fund (1240.000.000) by interfund loan through Resolution 2002 - 27 to be repaid by April 8, 2005; and

WHEREAS, the Solid Waste fund has repaid $64,084.93 in principal plus interest; and

WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Fund is temporarily short of funds to repay the remaining, $35,915.07 plus interest by April 8, 2005 due to the decision to modify the facility at the Mt. Pleasant Transfer site to improve the safety of the site in 2005; and

WHEREAS, the Board anticipates that sufficient solid waste fee revenue will be available to repay the loan by April 8, 2006; and

WHEREAS, the Cumulative Reserve Loan Fund was established to provide short and long term loans to other operating funds; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Skamania County, Washington, that the County Treasurer is directed to extend the term of the interfund loan from the CUMULATIVE RESERVE LOAN FUND (1240.000.000) to the SOLID WASTE FUND (401.000.000) to April 8, 2006; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that repayment of remaining interfund loan balance of $35,915.07 plus interest shall be repaid from the first available funds, together with interest at 4%, not later than April 8, 2006.
