RESOLUTION 2004-59

(Amending Resolutions 2003-54 and 2004-52 Establishing Legal Holidays for 2004 and 2005)

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by this Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to RCW 1.16.050, the following days are constituted and shall be observed as legal holidays for the calendar year 2005 in observance of the event, individual, or official noted:

Monday January 3, 2005 New Year’s Day

Friday December 31, 2004 New Year’s Day 2005

Monday January 17 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Monday February 21 President’s Day

Monday May 30 Memorial Day

Monday July 4 Independence Day

Monday September 5 Labor Day

Friday November 11 Veteran’s Day

Thursday November 24 Thanksgiving Day

Friday November 25 Day after Thanksgiving

Monday December 26 Christmas Day

Note: Normally when a holiday falls on Saturday, the Friday before will be substituted.

Normally when the holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday will be substituted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each county employee shall be entitled to ten (10) holidays approved by the Board of Commissioners and one (1) personal holiday, scheduled with the approval of his/her supervisor.
