RESOLUTION 2004-50

(County Clerk Collection Fund)

WHEREAS, Skamania County created a “County Clerk Collection Fund” (fund # 0010.131) in which to deposit the collection fee and state allocation per Resolution 2003-64; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the County to easily track the revenues and expenditures of the fund and to accumulate unused funds from year to year;

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest to change the fund from a department within the Current Expend Fund to a Special Revenue Fund;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners hereby amends Resolution 2003-64 to change the County Clerk Collection Fund from Fund Number 0010.131 to Fund Number 1250.000 effective January 1, 2005; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the purpose of the fund shall be for the collection of legal financial obligations from criminal offenders and any funds collected for this purpose shall be expended on activities related to the collection of these financial obligations; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that all funds deposited into the Current Expense Fund from the collection of legal financial obligations from criminal offenders in 2003 and 2004 be transferred to the new fund in January 2005.
