RESOLUTION 2004-47

(Authorizing payment by the County of expenses incurred by Commissioners-elect

at WSAC New Officials Orientation December 2004)

WHEREAS, the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) is holding a New Officials Orientation in Olympia on December 7, 8 and 9, 2004; and

WHEREAS, legislative issues of concern to counties will be discussed at said conference; and; and

WHEREAS, Skamania County will have two Commissioners-elect at the time of the conference and said Commissioners-elect will take office in January 2005; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of Skamania County that Skamania County Commissioners-elect be informed about legislative issues affecting counties; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Skamania County Board of Commissioners authorizes the payment of registration expenses and travel expense (per Resolution 2001-47) for any Skamania County Commissioner-elect attending the WSAC New Officials Orientation December 7, 8 and 9, 2004 in Olympia.
