RESOLUTION NO. 2003 – 18

(Amending Resolution No. 1985-26;

Increasing the Veteran’s Relief Revolving Fund)

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1985-26 provides for the Skamania County Veteran’s Relief Revolving Fund which is used for relief payments to indigent veterans and the wives, husbands, widows, widowers and minor children of deceased veterans; and

WHEREAS, the annual amount available to an indigent veteran was increased from $300 to $600 on May 1, 2003; and

WHEREAS, the present amount of $1,000 within the Revolving Fund does not provide adequate operating funds to accommodate this increase; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED that the “Skamania County Veteran’s Relief Revolving Fund” be increased from $1,000 to $5,000 to accommodate the increase in annual disbursements as previously outlined above.
