RESOLUTION 2003-44

(Authorizing Signature of Contracts GCA3707 for purchase of new mini-van and mini-bus, GCA3828 for purchase of two used mini-buses, GCA3737 for operation of transit demonstration project, and GCA3738 for operation of the dial-a-ride program for Senior Services)

WHEREAS, Skamania County has been awarded grants of $90,840 in Federal Transit Administration, Section 5311 capital assistance, $9,000 in Rural Mobility capital assistance, $184,000 in Rural Mobility operating assistance, and $44,697 FTA 5311 operating assistance, with $54,679 of Rural Mobility operating assistance through the Washington State Department of Transportation (WDOT); and

WHEREAS, the Skamania County Board of Commissioners believes it is in the best interest of the County to enter into these contracts with WDOT;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Skamania County Board of Commissioners authorizes the signing of Contracts GCA3707 ($90,840), GCA3828 ($9,000), GCA3737 ($184,000) and GCA3738 ($44,695 FTA and $54,679 state).
