Skamania County Road Maintenance Division has an ongoing maintenance program that provides for routine and specialized work methods to provide user comfort and safety while traveling on your public road system.

They provide these services on your public roads:
Traveled Way Maintenance - Surface repair, base repair, chip seals, paving and street cleaning. Why do we chip seal?
Shoulder Maintenance - Pulling and relaying existing material, or adding crushed rock to provide for a safe area to pull off the traveled way when required.
Structure Maintenance and Repair - Bridges and guardrails repairs.
Sidewalk Maintenance and Repair - Curbs and sidewalk maintenance.
Vegetation Maintenance - Roadside mowing, tree trimming, ground brush cutting and herbicide use. Right-of-Way Permits available for Landowners.
Sign Maintenance - Installation and repair of all county road signs.
Snow and Ice Control - Plowing of county roads on a priority basis after 3 to 4 inches of accumulation. Main roads and/or school bus routes are done first, followed by high residential areas and then the remainder of the side streets.

Skamania County Road Maintenance Division is looking for sites to dump waste material from ditch cleanings and other maintenance projects.
