ORDINANCE NO. 2006-17

(An Ordinance Amending Section 2.44.020 of

Chapter 2.44, Title 2 of the Skamania County Code)

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has learned from the County Auditor that due to increased voter registrations in the west end of Skamania County, there is a need to redistrict County Commissioner Districts.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINDED AND ESTABLISHED, pursuant to RCWs 29A.76.010, Section 2.44.020 and 2.44.030 of Chapter 2.44, Title 2 of the Skamania County Code (Ordinance Nos. 1981-04, 1987-04, 1990-03, 1996-02, 1998-4,1999-05, 2002-14, 2003-02, 2005-01 & 2006-1) be amended; and

BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED, that the map and legal descriptions as set out in Exhibits A through D, attached hereto and by reference fully incorporated herein; and

BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED, that the precinct numbers be modified as set out in Exhibit E, attached hereto and by reference fully incorporated herein; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that this ordinance shall become effective upon its final adoption; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that except as herein modified, Ordinance Nos. 1981-04, 1987-04, 1990-03, 1996-02, 1998-04, 1999-05, 2002-14, 2003-02, 2005-01, and 2006-1 Chapter SCC 2.44 now codified under Title 2 of the Skamania County Code, are hereby affirmed in their entirety and remain in full force and effect.
