ORDINANCE NO. 2003 – 15
(AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SKAMANIA COUNTY CODE TITLE 21 SECTION 21.16.020, BY CORRECTING ORDINANCE 2002-19 AS MENTIONED IN THE SCRIVENER’S NOTE)
WHEREAS, the Skamania County Planning Commission held workshops on July 16, and August 6, 2002, to review Ordinance No. 2002-19; and
WHEREAS, an environmental determination was not made as the project is exempt from State Environmental Policy Act regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on October 1, 2002; and recommended the Board of County Commissioners approve Ordinance No. 2002-19, which included a scrivener’s note that the final ordinance needed to delete the second half of Skamania County Code section 21.16.020; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 2002-19 into law on November 25, 2002, and the text to be deleted as indicated by the scrivener’s note wasn’t specifically listed; and,
WHEREAS, this proposed ordinance amendment clarifies the exact text to be deleted as intended by the scrivener’s note in Ordinance No. 2002-19,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED that Skamania County Code Title 21 Section 21.16.020 is amended as follows:
21.16.020 Administrator.
The Skamania County Planning Department Director is vested with the duty of administering the provisions of this title and shall insure that this title is enforced through the proper legal channels. No building permit, subdivision, short subdivision, mobile home park, or other development permit shall be approved unless such development conforms in all aspects with the provisions and regulations of this title. The director shall prepare and require the use of such forms as deemed essential to the administration of this title. In the event of a violation of this title, the planning director will notify the violator of their violation by certified letter and allow ten days to respond to comply in accordance with a schedule supplied by the director. The director shall schedule full compliance to occur within sixty days of the date of the certified letter. If, after ten days, the party fails to respond to comply, the matter becomes a violation under Section 21.88.010.
BE IT FINALLY ORDAINED that this ordinance shall become effective upon adoption by the County Commissioners of Skamania County.
