ORDINANCE 2003-14

 

(AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SKAMANIA COUNTY CODE TITLE 23, CHAPTER 23.07, REPEALING THE SUNSET CLAUSE)

 

BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED and ESTABLISHED by the Skamania County Board of County Commissioners, that Skamania County Code Title 23, Chapter 23.07 is repealed in its entirety as follows:

The County shall adopt a conversion ordinance to regulate conversion of forestland on or before December 31, 2005.  Accordingly, this Title 23 will cease to have any legal effect upon the earlier of either: (1) the passage of a new ordinance to regulate the conversion of forest land to nonforestry uses as provided in RCW 76.09; OR (2) January 1, 2006; Unless this deadline is extended by the Board of County Commissioners through a properly adopted ordinance; except any application to waive or lift the moratorium received by the Planning Department on or before the deadline provided in this section shall be administered in accordance with this ordinance.

 

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance amending Skamania County Code Title 23, repealing Chapter 23.07 shall become effective upon adoption by the Board of County Commissioners of Skamania County.
