BOARD OF SKAMANIA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Meeting for Week of December 5, 2006

The meeting was called to order at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Commissioner’s Meeting Room, 240 NW Vancouver Avenue in Stevenson, with Commissioners Paul Pearce, Chair via phone conference and James D. Richardson present, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Commissioner Pearce moved, seconded by Commissioner Richardson and motion carried to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:

1. Minutes for week of November 28, 2006.

2. Claim for Damages from Ray and Ann Lueders.

3. Set public hearing for 10:30 AM Thursday, December 21, 2006 to consider Supplemental Budget #3 for 2006 to supplement budgets for various department funds due to unanticipated expenditures and revenues unknown at the time of passing the 2006 budget.

4. Certification of Sponsor Match to Interagency Agency for Outdoor Recreation for Wind River Boat Ramp Design & Permitting funding.

5. Amendment #1 to agreement with Dept of Transportation to provide funding for dial-a-ride transportation services for the general public & persons with special needs in Skamania County.

6. Contract with Employment Security Department for renewal of rental agreement for Employment Security Department facility at 704 SW Rock Creek Drive, Stevenson, Washington.

7. Contract with Proto Call to provide crisis phone counseling after hours & screening for call-outs to Counseling Center on-call staff.

8. Statement of Agreed Priority for grant application to Dept of Ecology, to be submitted by Underwood Conservation District, for White Salmon River & Klickitat River Restoration and Monitoring project.

9. Resolution 2006-56 amending recording fees to comply with RCW 36.18.010.

Commissioner Richardson moved, seconded by Commissioner Pearce and motion carried to approve payroll for the period ending November 30, 2006 in the total amount of $1,055,329.31.

Commissioner Richardson moved, seconded by Commissioner Pearce and motion carried to approve vouchers for the period ending December 7, 2006 in the total amount of $95,542.95.

Commissioner Pearce moved, seconded by Commissioner Richardson and motion carried to approve a payment of $10.00 to A&J Select for two gift certificates for Senior Services.

Commissioner Pearce moved, seconded by Commissioner Richardson and motion carried to authorize the Vice Chair to sign all documents approved by the Board on behalf of the Chair.
