Horse Advisory Minutes

Present:

Kay Day, Bev Gadbaw, Sherril Allen, Ben Sizemore, Brandy Audette, Brenda Wade,

Carol Adams, Dawn McDow

 

 

Old Business:

State decorations:   We discussed at the Leaders council meeting.  Bev has been busy sewing the decorations.

 

Horse Camp:  There was a meeting on April 24.  We talked about the Horse Camp and Teen Camps.  There will be another meeting soon.

 

Horse Schedule for fair:  Sally would like an updated schedule for fair, to put in the clover reporter.  Kay will send to Sally.

 

White boards:  Bev brought up that we should have at least 2 large white boards at front of the barn and the back also for fair.

 

Dressage Arena:  Mark DeLong has volunteered to build us a dressage arena.

 

Bridge for fair:  Ben stated that he would look into building a Trail course bridge for the fair.  He has someone in mind to help build the bridge.

 

Presentations:  Question on presentations, when we would do them and who is judging them.  We will have presentations on Thursday evening August 21.  Had discussion on who would judge?  Will we have our horse judge?  Need to talk to Sally and the superintendent in charge of presentations.

 

 

New Business:

Horse Barn:  64 Senior/ Intermediates green cards; 14 Junior green cards. 

Juniors will do gaming for fair on Open Gaming day.  Sunday August 10th.

Haul in and vet check will be Sunday late afternoon/ evening.  Kay will check on vet availability for vet check.

 

Horse Camp:  Had a meeting at Monica Townsends house on June 5th, at 11:00 AM

Attending were Monica Townsend, Jeanie Sizemore, Diane Ladwig, Kay Day and Charline Wright.  Discussed clinics for kids.  Diane to take care of crafts.

Jennifer Graham to take care of kitchen.  Sherril Allen will take care of medical issues and book.

 

Presentations/ Demonstrations:  Kay to check on how to judge and who will judge.

We have one presentation for sure.  Any one who is interested please contact Kay Day.

 

Dressage patterns:  Bev talked to the dressage judge, he stated that we had to pay to get the dressage test from the dressage ass.  Kay and Bev to check on this with other counties, for clarification.  We need to get the patterns to the kids soon.
